Laboratory of Biocybernetics

“Nothing is too wonderful to be true if it be consistent with the laws of nature.”

— Michael Faraday

The Laboratory of Biocybernetics (LBK) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, is a leading research group in the field of electroporation and its biomedical and biotechnological applications. Our research spans from fundamental biophysics of cell membrane permeabilization to clinical applications in oncology, cardiology, and food processing.

Founded in the 1960s, the laboratory has grown into an internationally recognized center of excellence with extensive collaborations across Europe and worldwide. Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise in electrical engineering, biophysics, computational modeling, and biomedical engineering.
